The Southern Miss Golden Eagles secured an impressive 81-64 victory against Alabama State on Thursday, with standout performance from Cobie Montgomery, who netted 21 points.
Montgomery demonstrated his shooting skills, hitting 6 out of 10 attempts, including an impressive 6 for 9 from beyond the arc, and sunk 3 of 4 free throws.

Adding to the triumph, Denijay Harris made significant contributions with a solid performance, scoring 20 points and pulling down 20 rebounds.
Neftali Alvarez also made his mark on the game by finishing with 13 points, going 4 for 6 in field goals and converting 3 out of 4 free throws, while contributing six rebounds to the team’s efforts.

On the other side, the Alabama State Hornets, now with a record of 3-6, were paced by CJ Hines, who led the scoring with 18 points.
Both Amarr Knox and Shawn Fulcher played notable roles in the offense as well, each scoring 11 points.
