Liberty University is set to compete against the University at Buffalo in the upcoming Bahamas Bowl scheduled for January 4, as announced on Thursday.
The Flames, who carry an 8-3 record from Conference USA, are poised to make their sixth straight bowl game appearance.
Meanwhile, Buffalo, boasting an 8-4 record from the Mid-American Conference, will mark its fifth bowl game in seven years.
Notably, the Bulls previously secured victory in the 2019 Bahamas Bowl, defeating Charlotte with a score of 31-9.
The match will take place at Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium, which underwent renovations last year.
This led to the previous year’s game being relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina.
Historically, Liberty and Buffalo have faced each other three times, with the Flames winning each encounter, including a dominant 55-27 victory on Buffalo’s home turf last season.
As the bowl season approaches, fans can anticipate an exciting matchup as both teams look to solidify their programs’ successes.
The Flames, in pursuit of adding another bowl win to their accomplishments, will aim to extend their winning streak against the Bulls.
With Buffalo having a strong recent history in bowl games, this matchup promises to be a thrilling contest for college football enthusiasts.
