Rockets’ Udoka, Sengun, and Eason penalized by NBA following defeat against the Kings

NEW YORK — The NBA has imposed fines on Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka and center Alperen Sengun for their conduct during a recent game against the Sacramento Kings, which resulted in a 120-111 defeat. Additionally, forward Tari Eason was penalized for his behavior toward a fan following the conclusion of the match.

Announced on Thursday, Udoka received a $50,000 fine for verbally confronting an official using offensive language, not exiting the court swiftly after his ejection, and for criticizing the referees during his postgame press conference.

Sengun was fined $15,000 for his inappropriate remarks directed at a game official.

Eason faced a $35,000 penalty for throwing a towel and using inappropriate language directed at a fan in the stands after the game’s end.

Both Udoka and Sengun received technical fouls and were ejected with just 1:52 left in the game’s final quarter.

Prior to this loss, Houston had enjoyed a successful run, winning three consecutive games and securing victory in 10 out of their last 12 matchups, a streak that ultimately cost them the top position in the NBA Cup quarterfinals.
