BEIJING — Authorities in China are actively searching for 13 construction workers who are unaccounted for following a significant cave-in at a worksite in the bustling city of Shenzhen, located in the southern part of the country.
The incident took place around 11 p.m. on Wednesday at a site designated for a segment of the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway, situated in the Bao’an district. In the wake of the collapse, nearby residents were evacuated to ensure their safety during the ongoing recovery efforts.
