Michigan’s Sherrone Moore dismisses offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell following 2024 offensive difficulties.

Michigan’s head coach, Sherrone Moore, has made a significant change to his coaching staff by dismissing offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell.
This decision came just three days following the Wolverines’ successful regular season finale, where they pulled off a surprising 13-10 victory against their long-time rival, the Ohio State Buckeyes, who were ranked second at the time.

Despite this recent win, the Wolverines had faced challenges on the offensive side of the game throughout the season, which ultimately led to Campbell’s departure from the role.
“After conducting a comprehensive review of our offensive performance, I concluded that it was necessary to part ways with Kirk Campbell and pursue a new direction for the team,” commented Moore.

Campbell had been elevated to the offensive coordinator position after the previous head coach, Jim Harbaugh, departed to join the Los Angeles Chargers.
In the interim, tight ends coach Steve Casula has been appointed as the acting offensive coordinator while the search for a permanent replacement is underway.

Before his promotion, Campbell served as Michigan’s quarterbacks coach during the team’s national championship run and had previously been an offensive analyst for the 2022 season, a role he also held at Penn State.
