Performance of Key US Stock Indices on Monday, December 2, 2024

Technology stocks propelled Wall Street to new heights amidst a backdrop of mixed trading activity.

The S&P 500 experienced a 0.2% increase on Monday, following its record-setting close in November. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a decline of 0.3%, and the Nasdaq composite enjoyed a gain of 1%.

Shares of Super Micro Computer surged as the company announced that an investigation revealed no evidence of wrongdoing by its management or board members. Retail performance was varied as the market transitioned from Black Friday into what is anticipated to be a record-breaking Cyber Monday. In the bond market, Treasury yields remained largely stable.

Finally, the Russell 2000 has risen by 407.06 points, showcasing a 20.1% growth.
