FARMVILLE, Va. — In an impressive display of basketball, Longwood University triumphed over Regent University with a resounding score of 108-55 on Sunday.
Michael Christmas emerged as a key player for the Lancers, contributing 14 points to the team’s success. He showcased his shooting skills by making 5 of 8 attempts from the field, which included an impressive 3 of 5 from three-point range. Joining him in the scoring effort was D.J. Jefferson, who also scored 14 points, going 5 for 7 overall and hitting 1 of 3 from beyond the arc, while securing all three of his free-throw attempts.
Angelo Brizzi made notable contributions as well, finishing with 11 points. He displayed perfect shooting accuracy, converting all four shots he took, including three successful attempts from three-point range. In addition to his scoring, Brizzi distributed the ball effectively, recording six assists throughout the match.
On the opposing side, Christian Brown stood out for the Royals, leading his team with 16 points. Brendan Goods and Vladimir Vibert also made significant contributions; Goods added 11 points along with four assists, while Vibert matched his scoring tally with 11 points and provided five assists.
