    In a tightly contested matchup on Sunday, Central Connecticut pulled off a narrow 69-67 victory over UMass-Lowell in New Britain, Connecticut.
    Darin Smith Jr. was instrumental in the Blue Devils’ success, contributing 14 points along with three steals.
    His performance was complemented by Abdul Momoh, who notched 13 points and secured five rebounds.
    Devin Haid also played a key role, scoring 12 points, shooting 5 for 9 from the field while struggling from beyond the arc with no successful three-pointers.
    Haid did manage to hit 2 out of 3 from the charity stripe and collected eight rebounds overall.
    Jordan Jones sealed the game for Central Connecticut, making two crucial free throws with just 18 seconds remaining, which pushed the score to 69-64.

    On the other side, Max Brooks delivered a standout performance for the River Hawks, netting an impressive 29 points along with 10 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.
    Martin Somerville contributed 13 points and two steals to UMass-Lowell’s efforts.
    Yuri Covington added to the scoring with seven points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Central Connecticut’s late-game surge.
