MUNICH — Bayern Munich has announced that Harry Kane has suffered a strain in his right hamstring and will be sidelined “for the time being.”

Kane left the pitch in the 33rd minute during Bayern’s match against Borussia Dortmund, which ended in a 1-1 draw, after signaling to the coaching staff about his discomfort.

On Sunday, the club revealed that scans had confirmed the England captain sustained a minor muscle strain in his right hamstring, although they did not provide an estimate regarding the duration of his recovery.

This injury comes just as Bayern prepares for a demanding schedule, with six matches lined up over the next three weeks prior to the winter break. The first of these matches will be a challenging German Cup clash at home on Tuesday against defending champions Bayer Leverkusen.
