LAFAYETTE, La. — In a thrilling matchup on Saturday evening, Nicholls secured a narrow 76-75 victory over Louisiana, thanks to Michael Gray Jr.’s impressive performance and clutch free throws from Byron Ireland in the final seconds.

Gray led the way for the Colonels, scoring 19 points on 6 of 11 shooting, with a notable 5 of 10 from three-point range. He was complemented by key contributions from Jamal West, who recorded 15 points alongside nine rebounds, and Jaylen Searles, who also added 15 points with three successful three-pointers. Ireland rounded out the scoring by finishing with 15 points as well.
