RUSTON, Louisiana – In an exciting matchup on Saturday, the Southern Jaguars triumphed over Louisiana Tech with a close score of 73-70. Both Jordan Johnson and Joe Manning stood out for Southern, each contributing 21 points to the team’s victory.
Johnson also added five rebounds and recorded four steals, showcasing his versatility on the court. Manning was particularly efficient, hitting 8 of 11 shots and sinking 4 of 5 attempts from three-point range. Michael Jacobs chipped in with eight points, although he struggled a bit with his shooting, going 3 for 12 from the floor and making 2 of 3 free throws.
On the other side, the Bulldogs, who fell to a record of 7-1, were led by Daniel Batcho, who scored 22 points and made an impressive six blocks.
