LETHBRIDGE, Alberta — Jamil Miller played a crucial role in Kennesaw State’s victory over Towson, scoring 18 points, including three in the overtime period, to help his team secure a 67-63 win during the Western Slam on Friday night.

Miller also contributed seven rebounds for the Owls, who improved their record to 6-2. Adrian Wooley supported the team with 16 points, shooting an impressive 7 of 10 from the field, including 2 of 5 from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Ricardo Wright finished with 13 points, although his shooting was less efficient, hitting only 4 of 16 attempts overall, including 3 of 12 from three-point land, and making 2 of 5 from the free-throw line.

In the final moments of overtime, Wright made two free throws that pushed Kennesaw State ahead 65-63 with just 47 seconds remaining. Shortly afterward, Simeon Cottle sealed the scoring with two successful foul shots.

On the other side, Dylan Williamson was the standout player for Towson, scoring 15 points and securing two steals. Mekhi Lowery had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Tomiwa Sulaiman added another 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Tigers, whose record now stands at 4-4.

A pivotal moment came when Rahdir Hicks drained a three-pointer for Towson, tying the game at 58 with just 32 seconds left in regulation, which ultimately led to the overtime period. Kennesaw State found themselves being outscored by six points during the second half, as they ended regulation tied at 58-58. Miller’s efficiency showed through, as he made his only field goal attempt and contributed crucial points in overtime.
