GREENVILLE, N.C. — In a commanding performance, C.J. Walker netted 23 points, leading East Carolina to a 93-69 victory over North Carolina A&T on Friday evening.
Walker showcased his skills by shooting 9 of 13 from the field and hitting all five of his free-throw attempts, helping the Pirates improve their record to 7-1 this season. Cam Hayes contributed significantly as well, scoring 20 points while also grabbing five rebounds and dishing out six assists. RJ Felton added to the effort with 15 points for East Carolina.
On the other side, Ryan Forrest was the standout for the Aggies, scoring 25 points. His teammate Landon Glasper also had a strong showing, with 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Nikolaos Chitikoudis provided solid support with eight points, nine rebounds, and two blocks.
Hayes was particularly effective in the first half, leading the Pirates with 13 points, which aided in establishing a solid 44-33 lead at halftime. Walker took charge in the second half, contributing 17 points to solidify East Carolina’s victory.
Overall, the game demonstrated the strengths of the East Carolina team, as they executed their game plan effectively while also handling defensive challenges posed by North Carolina A&T.
