BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — In a strong showing, Jacksen Moni spearheaded North Dakota State’s victory over Utah Valley with an impressive 32-point performance, leading the Bison to an 83-63 win on Thursday night.
Moni didn’t just shine in scoring; he also grabbed six rebounds, contributing significantly to his team’s effort. His teammates also played key roles, with Tajavis Miller going a perfect 5 for 5 from the field, including three successful 3-pointers for a total of 15 points. Jacari White likewise made an impact, shooting 4 for 7 overall, with 2 for 3 from beyond the arc for 12 points.
The Wolverines of Utah Valley, now holding a record of 4-3, relied heavily on Carter Welling, who led their scoring with 15 points. Osiris Grady also made his mark, adding 10 points to the team’s total, but it ultimately wasn’t enough to secure a win against the Bison.
This result positions North Dakota State at a record of 5-4 as they continue to build momentum this season.
