A tragic incident occurred in St. Louis, where a 16-year-old boy lost his life following an unexpected gunfire incident last weekend on a local highway.

Colin Brown was struck by a stray bullet on Saturday night while riding home in his father’s vehicle after participating in a hockey game, according to reports.

Sadly, Brown succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday after being treated at a hospital, as confirmed by law enforcement officials.

Police spokesperson Mitch McCoy described the event as an unusual case of someone being hit by a stray bullet in the city.

Although no suspects have been apprehended at this time, authorities have reported receiving various tips and have been examining new video footage related to the case.

A vigil was held on Monday in memory of Brown, attended by over 200 people, while his hockey teammates gathered on Wednesday to pay tribute.

The St. Louis Blues have announced that they will conduct a moment of silence before their upcoming game on Saturday to honor him.

Blake Ryan, the assistant coach of Brown’s hockey team, expressed his sentiments by stating, “He was always there to support others in challenging times and would be the first to celebrate successes.

He embodied natural leadership and consistently made the right choices.”
