VALPARAISO, Ind. — In an exciting matchup on Wednesday evening, Valparaiso triumphed over Northern Illinois with a final score of 87-82. Cooper Schwieger played a pivotal role in the game, finishing with 17 points and contributing seven rebounds for the Beacons, who improved their season record to 4-2.
Tyler Schmidt also made a significant impact, netting 17 points by shooting 5-of-9 from the field and an impressive 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. All Wright added to the Beacons’ scoring efforts with 13 points, hitting 5-of-10 shots, which included a noteworthy 3-of-4 performance from three-point range.
On the other side of the court, Nasir Muhammad emerged as the standout for the Huskies, scoring 21 points. Quentin Jones made a strong contribution as well, recording 20 points along with three blocks. James Dent Jr. rounded out the scoring for Northern Illinois with a solid performance, collecting 15 points alongside six rebounds and four assists.
