CANCUN, Mexico — In a solid performance, Anthony Selden contributed 29 points to lead Gardner-Webb to a victory over Bethune-Cookman, with a final score of 79-64 on Wednesday.
Selden also contributed five rebounds to the Runnin’ Bulldogs, who now own a record of 4-3. Teammate Jamaine Mann joined the effort with 12 points and seven rebounds, while Shahar Lazar made an impact by scoring 12 points as well, with an impressive shooting streak of 4 for 7, which includes 3 for 6 from three-point range.
On the other side of the court, Reggie Ward Jr. stood out for the Wildcats, notching a double-double with 14 points and collecting 11 rebounds. Daniel Rouzan also added to the scoring for Bethune-Cookman, matching Ward with 14 points, while Tre Thomas contributed with 13 points of his own.
The game showcased effective teamwork and individual performances that secured the Runnin’ Bulldogs their fourth win of the season.
