HOUSTON — Kavion McClain contributed significantly to Texas Southern’s victory on Wednesday, netting 14 points in their 80-72 win against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Alongside his scoring, McClain also facilitated the offense with six assists for the Tigers (2-5).
Grayson Carter followed closely behind, adding 13 points with an impressive shooting performance, hitting 6 of 7 attempts from the floor.
Both Kenny Hunter and Alex Anderson made their presence felt, each scoring 12 points to bolster the team’s performance.
On the other side, the Javelinas saw strong efforts from Isaiah Payne, who led his team with 18 points, also contributing four assists.
Allen Singleton supported the team with 16 points, while Nate Lacewell had a solid outing with 13 points paired with seven rebounds.
Overall, it was a competitive matchup, with both teams showcasing their talents on the court.
