CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In a solid performance on Wednesday night, Quimari Peterson contributed significantly to East Tennessee State’s victory over Charlotte, leading the Buccaneers to a 75-55 win.
Peterson finished the game with 16 points, effectively helping his team secure the win while also recording five rebounds.
John Buggs III also played a pivotal role in the game, scoring 15 points with an efficient shooting performance, hitting six of his twelve attempts from the floor, including three out of five from beyond the arc.
Karon Boyd added to the scoring streak by netting 14 points, managing to convert three out of eight attempts and impressively finishing seven of ten at the free-throw line. In addition to his scoring, Boyd made an impact on the boards with seven rebounds.
For the home team, Charlotte’s performance was led by Jaehshon Thomas, who scored 13 points. His teammate, Nik Graves, matched this contribution by also putting up 13 points during the game.
The victory improves East Tennessee State’s record to 5-2, while the loss leaves Charlotte with a record of 3-3.
