Cookeville, Tennessee — In an impressive performance, Jaylon Johnson led the Golden Eagles to a 90-75 win over Presbyterian on Wednesday night, scoring a total of 20 points.
Johnson’s stats didn’t stop there, as he also recorded 10 rebounds and distributed eight assists, showcasing his versatility on the court. The victory improved Tennessee Tech’s record to 4-3.
Joining Johnson in the scoring effort was Daniel Egbuniwe, who netted 16 points, hitting 5 of 13 shots overall. He was particularly effective at the free-throw line, making all four of his attempts, and also grabbed six rebounds.
Kyle Layton contributed significantly as well, sinking five of his ten attempts, with an impressive 5 of 8 from three-point range, finishing with 15 points.
On the opposing side, the Blue Hose, now holding a record of 5-4, saw Kaleb Scott score 14 points and secure seven rebounds. Additionally, Jaylen Peterson made an impact with a double-double, adding 11 points along with 11 rebounds.
