MOBILE, Ala. — In a commanding performance at the Jaguar Classic, South Alabama triumphed over Incarnate Word with a score of 84-63 on Monday night. Myles Corey was a standout player for the Jaguars, contributing 19 points to the victory and recording three steals along the way.
JJ Wheat also played a significant role, scoring 12 points while providing five assists and registering three steals. Teammate John Broom had an efficient outing, going 4 for 5 from the floor and 2 for 3 at the charity stripe, wrapping up the game with 11 points.
For Incarnate Word, Jalin Anderson was the top performer, showcasing his skills with 25 points, seven assists, and two steals. Jordan Pyke made his presence felt in the paint, contributing a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Additionally, Davion Bailey supported the effort with nine points, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win for the Cardinals.
