ST. LOUIS — Isaiah Swope delivered an impressive performance, scoring 30 points to guide Saint Louis to an 81-67 victory against Quinnipiac on Monday night.
Swope also contributed six assists for the Billikens, who improved their record to 3-2. Gibson Jimerson made a notable impact with 16 points, connecting on 5 of 10 attempts from the field, including 2 of 6 from beyond the arc, and maintained a perfect 4 for 4 at the free-throw line. Robbie Avila added 14 points, shooting 4 for 12 overall, with a pair of threes and converting 4 of 8 free throws, while also grabbing six rebounds.
For the Bobcats, who fell to 3-4, Paul Otieno shone brightly with a double-double, scoring 19 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, alongside two blocks. Khaden Bennett supported the effort with 14 points, while Doug Young contributed seven points to the scoreline.
The contest saw Saint Louis hold a narrow one-point advantage at the half, largely thanks to Swope, who scored 12 points before the break. The Billikens surged ahead in the second half, outscoring the Bobcats by 13 points. Swope continued to lead the charge with another 18 points in the second half, ensuring his team’s decisive victory.
