Bruce Thornton led the charge for the Buckeyes by scoring 25 points, contributing to a balanced attack that featured seven players reaching double figures. Devin Royal also had a notable game, achieving a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Thornton’s shooting was impressive; he connected on 7 of 10 attempts from the field and knocked down five three-pointers. He was also effective at the free-throw line, hitting 6 of 7 shots, and he added nine assists to his stat line. In a strong first-half performance, Meechie Johnson made a significant impact by scoring 15 of his 17 points before halftime, helping Ohio State secure a 42-32 lead going into the break.

Other contributors for Ohio State included John Mobley Jr., who chipped in 14 points, while Sean Stewart added 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Both Micah Parrish and Evan Mahaffey came off the bench to score 10 points each, building on the team’s deep scoring options.

For Green Bay, Anthony Roy had a standout game, pouring in 30 points to lead his team. He achieved this by making 10 of 16 shots, including a remarkable 8 of 12 from three-point range. This performance marked his third consecutive game with at least 30 points and was the fourth time this season he has reached that milestone. Notably, Roy, who earned NAIA All-America honors at Langston University last year, currently leads the nation with an impressive scoring average of 28.0 points per game.

Ohio State continued a trend of high-scoring games, surpassing the century mark for the second consecutive outing, following their 104-60 win over Campbell last week. The Buckeyes dominated the glass, outrebounding the Phoenix 37-23, and capitalized on their opponent’s mistakes, scoring 30 points off of 18 turnovers committed by Green Bay.

In terms of shooting efficiency, Ohio State achieved a remarkable 55.9% from the field and 45.2% from beyond the arc, making 14 of 31 attempts. They also converted on 12 of 19 attempts from the foul line. Meanwhile, Green Bay finished with a shooting percentage of 49% overall and 41.7% from three-point range, making 10 of 24 shots. They were also successful at the free-throw line, converting 11 of 16 attempts.
