MISSOULA, Mont. — In an impressive showcase, CSU Northridge triumphed over Denver with a commanding score of 89-60 on Monday evening, driven by Marcus Adams Jr., who netted 19 points.
Adams also recorded a double-double by pulling down 11 rebounds for the Matadors, who now hold a record of 5-1. Keonte Jones proved to be another key contributor, finishing the game with 17 points on an efficient 4 of 6 shooting from the field and perfect 8 for 8 from the free-throw line, alongside five rebounds and three blocks.
PJ Fuller, despite struggling with his shooting, managed to contribute as well, tallying 10 points. He shot 2 of 8 overall, including missing all four of his attempts from beyond the arc, but excelled at the charity stripe, going 6 for 6.
For the Pioneers, who now sit at 3-4, Nicholas Shogbonyo was the standout performer, leading his team with 15 points. Meanwhile, Pedro Lopez-Sanvicente added depth to the scoreboard with 10 points and contributed defensively with two blocks.
