Blue Man Group is stepping back from performances in Chicago and New York

The Blue Man Group is facing a challenging moment as they announced the closing of their shows in both Chicago and New York City.
The unique production, featuring bald performers painted in blue who blend elaborate drumming with physical humor, has been a staple of entertainment since its inception in New York in 1991.
However, the captivating performances will continue in other locations such as Las Vegas, Orlando, Boston, and Berlin, in addition to a touring schedule and a show on a Norwegian Cruise Line vessel.

According to Managing Director Jack Kenn, the final performance in New York is scheduled for February 2, while the last show in Chicago will take place on January 5.
Often, productions may extend their run beyond these planned dates.
“Blue Man Group is truly unlike any other entertainment experience and has gained immense recognition and success due to the dedication of our talented cast, crew, and creative team. It is their hard work that has allowed us to touch the hearts of audiences night after night, and we are incredibly grateful to them,” Kenn stated.

Currently, the Blue Man Group is under the umbrella of the renowned entertainment company Cirque du Soleil, which continues to expand its influence in the global circus and entertainment scene.
