DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Rasheed Bello delivered an impressive performance, notching 20 points as Purdue Fort Wayne triumphed over Drexel with a score of 87-81 on Monday.
Bello also contributed eight assists for the Mastodons, who improved their record to 4-2 with this victory. Corey Hadnot II made a significant impact as well, shooting 6 for 7 from the field, including 3 for 4 from beyond the arc, to contribute 15 points. Meanwhile, Jalen Jackson added 13 points, completing 6 of 13 attempts from the field.
For the Dragons, now standing at 4-3, Cole Hargrove was the standout performer, tallying 19 points alongside 14 rebounds and four assists. Kobe Magee also had a strong game, scoring 15 points and registering three steals, while Shane Blakeney chipped in with 12 points.
Jackson made his mark early, scoring nine points in the first half; however, Purdue Fort Wayne entered halftime trailing 37-35. In the second half, Bello turned up the heat, scoring 15 points and helping to secure the final win for his team.
