FORT WORTH, Texas — In a decisive victory, TCU cruised past Idaho State with a final score of 86-46, showcasing a dominant performance particularly in the second half. Hailey Van Lith led the charge for the Horned Frogs, scoring 27 points, while Sedona Prince contributed 19 points. Madison Conner also made her mark, adding 17 points by successfully making five of her seven attempts from beyond the arc.
The Horned Frogs displayed impressive shooting throughout the game, connecting on 57% of their overall shots and hitting 13 of 22 from three-point range. In stark contrast, Idaho State struggled offensively, managing only 32% shooting. The Bengals saw their offense falter particularly in the second half, where they managed just 17 total points from six field goals and five free throws.
TCU began the game strong, scoring the first seven points. Two crucial three-pointers from Conner at the end of the first quarter secured a 27-16 lead. The second quarter proved more challenging for TCU, which only logged 15 points, with Van Lith accounting for seven of those. At the halftime break, TCU maintained a 42-29 advantage.
Coming out of halftime, the Horned Frogs quickly established their dominance with a 12-2 run, extending their lead to a comfortable margin of at least 22 points for the remainder of the game. Knisha Godfrey capped off the scoring with two free throws in the final moments, underscoring TCU’s commanding victory.
Idaho State had notable performances from Halle Wright and Maria Dias, who scored 15 and 11 points, respectively, as the Bengals fell to a record of 2-4 for the season. TCU continues to impress, now improving their record to 6-0 as they move deeper into the season.
