COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A standout performance from Ethan Taylor, who scored 21 points, propelled the Air Force Falcons to a significant 82-48 victory over the Mercyhurst Lakers on Sunday evening.
In addition to his scoring, Taylor contributed with 10 rebounds, helping his team improve their record to 2-4. Wesley Celichowski was another key player for the Falcons, finishing with 14 points on an efficient 6 of 11 shooting, along with 2 of 3 from the charity stripe. Luke Kearney also made his mark by adding 12 points, with an impressive shooting display from three-point range, making 4 of his 5 attempts.
For Mercyhurst, which now holds a record of 4-3, Aidan Reichert topped the scoring charts with 11 points. Jeff Planutis provided support with 10 points while Mykolas Ivanauskas contributed with seven points, six rebounds, and three blocks.
The game saw Air Force take control early, establishing a lead with 15:21 left in the first half and maintaining it throughout. At halftime, the score was 31-24, with Ethan Taylor netting nine points by that point. The Falcons continued to dominate in the second half, extending their lead to 45-26 thanks to a strong 14-0 scoring run.
