COLUMBIA, Mo. — In a commanding performance, Mark Mitchell contributed 20 points while Anthony Robinson II secured a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, leading Missouri to its fifth consecutive victory. The Tigers decisively defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff with a score of 112-63 on Sunday, marking their third successive win by a margin of over 35 points.
Currently, Missouri holds a record of 5-1 and remains undefeated in five games played at home. On the other hand, Arkansas-Pine Bluff stands at 1-6, having faced the challenge of playing six out of their first seven games away from home without securing a single road victory.
The Tigers displayed an impressive offensive strategy, with a total of 14 players contributing at least three points each. They achieved a field goal shooting percentage of 52.1%, completing 37 out of 71 attempts. However, their performance from beyond the arc was less effective, with 9 successful shots out of 32 attempts (28.1%). Apart from a single three-pointer, all of Missouri’s successful three-point shots originated from the bench. Caleb Gill led the bench scoring with 14 points, shooting 4 of 8 from distance. Marques Warrick also contributed significantly, scoring 9 points with 3 of 5 from beyond the arc, while Trent Pierce added another 9 points with 1 of 3 shooting.
