COLLEGE PARK, Md. — In a dominating performance, Kaylene Smikle led No. 11 Maryland with 25 points, guiding the team to their sixth consecutive victory as they cruised past St. Francis of Pennsylvania with a score of 107-35 on Sunday afternoon.

Smikle showcased her shooting prowess, connecting on 3 out of 5 attempts from three-point range and finishing 8 of 13 from the field. Additionally, she contributed four assists and made three steals. Allie Kubek was also a key player, scoring 20 points, while Shyanne Sellers had a noteworthy game with 11 points and nine assists. Off the bench, Bri McDaniel and Mir McLean both finished with 10 points, with McLean also grabbing 10 rebounds. Christina Dalce contributed 9 points and 10 rebounds along with three assists. The Terrapins collectively shot an impressive 39 of 71 from the field, including 9 of 26 from beyond the arc.

St. Francis initially took the lead with a layup from Julianna Gibson just 30 seconds into the game. However, they struggled to score, not reaching double digits until Yanessa Boyd hit a 3-pointer with 7:18 left in the third quarter, bringing the score to 72-12. Maryland established a commanding lead early, finishing the first quarter at 32-3 and leading 66-9 by halftime.

The Red Flashes, who now hold a 1-6 record for the season, managed a shooting rate of just 22.6 percent, hitting 12 of 53 attempts, which included 5 of 28 from three-point territory. Boyd was one of the few bright spots for St. Francis, scoring 10 points with two successful three-point shots out of four attempts.

This matchup marked the 25th occasion that St. Francis faced a ranked team, marking their second encounter with the Terrapins since previous meetings—one of which took place during the 2011 NCAA Tournament. This regular-season game added another chapter to the history between these two programs.
