CHICAGO — Des Watson stood out with a remarkable performance, contributing 19 points in Loyola Chicago’s dominating win over Tulsa, which ended with a score of 89-53 on Saturday night.
Watson showcased his shooting skills, making 7 of 14 attempts from the field, including an impressive 4 of 7 from beyond the arc. He also managed to add one free throw from four attempts for the Ramblers, who improved to a perfect 6-0 this season. Jayden Dawson was another key player, scoring 15 points with a solid shooting performance of 6 of 11, including 3 of 6 from three-point territory. Sheldon Edwards also played a significant role, finishing the game with 13 points after hitting 5 of 8 from the field and 3 of 6 from three-point land.
On the other side of the court, the Golden Hurricane, now at 3-3 for the season, struggled to find their rhythm. Dwon Odom was the top scorer for Tulsa, wrapping up the night with 10 points. Braeden Carrington contributed with nine points and blocked two shots, while Matt Reed added eight points.
