EMMITSBURG, Md. — Dola Adebayo was instrumental in Mount St. Mary’s victory over Delaware State, scoring 16 points in the 76-66 win on Saturday night.
Adebayo also contributed with seven rebounds for the Mountaineers, now boasting a 4-2 record. Jedy Cordilia supported the team with an impressive performance, scoring 14 points on 7 of 10 shooting from the floor along with seven rebounds. Terrell Ard Jr. was also a key player, efficient in his scoring with 14 points, hitting 5 of 7 shots and perfect from the free-throw line at 4 for 4. Additionally, Carmello Pacheco made a significant impact with his long-range shooting, nailing 4 of 5 from beyond the arc to end up with 14 points.
On the other side, the Hornets (2-4) were led by Kaseem Watson, who managed to score 16 points and grab six rebounds. His teammate Martez Robinson matched this scoring effort with 16 points as well, alongside two steals. Robert Smith also added to the Hornets’ efforts by contributing 14 points along with six rebounds.
The game showcased a strong offensive display from both teams, but Mount St. Mary’s depth and shooting efficiency ultimately secured them a noteworthy win on their home court.
