STATESBORO, Ga. — Adante’ Holiman was a standout for Georgia Southern, scoring 20 points in their 64-54 victory against West Georgia on Saturday.
Holiman showcased his shooting prowess by converting 7 of 14 attempts from the field, including an impressive 5 for 9 from beyond the arc. The Eagles improved their record to 5-2, with Dontae Horne contributing 11 points. Horne shot 4 of 8 overall, with 3 of his attempts coming from three-point range, while also grabbing five rebounds and making three steals. Tyson Brown and Nakavieon White each chipped in with 10 points to bolster the team’s offensive effort.
On the other side, Shelton Williams-Dryden was the shining star for the Wolves, amassing 21 points, along with seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Kolten Griffin also made his mark by scoring 10 points and securing two steals. Meanwhile, Rickey Ballard had a solid performance with eight points, 11 rebounds, and three steals. Unfortunately for West Georgia, this defeat marked their sixth consecutive loss, leaving them searching for answers as they fell to 0-6 on the season.
