COLUMBUS, Ohio – On Friday night, the Ohio State Buckeyes secured a dominant victory over Campbell, finishing with a score of 104-60. John Mobley Jr. was a standout performer off the bench, contributing 23 points, while all five starting players for Ohio State reached double digits in scoring.
With just 2:44 left on the clock, a powerful dunk from Colin White propelled the Buckeyes past the 100-point mark for the first time since their 2019 game against Penn State, where they won 106-74. The game was firmly in Ohio State’s control at halftime, leading 53-27 after an impressive shooting display where they hit 11 of 13 three-point attempts, boasting an accuracy of 84.6 percent. The Buckeyes continued to build on their lead in the second half, producing a decisive 22-5 run that extended their advantage to 41 points. They dominated in the paint throughout the second half, racking up 40 points in that area.
In addition to Mobley’s impressive outing, Devin Royal also shined with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Micah Parrish contributed 16 points and nine rebounds. Other notable contributions came from Meechie Johnson Jr., who tallied 12 points, Bruce Thornton with 11 points and seven assists, and Evan Mahaffey, who also scored 11 points.
For Campbell, Bragi Gudmundsson was the top scorer with 12 points, followed by Terren Frank, Jasin Sinani, and Cam Gregory, who each added 10 points to their tally.
In other news, Ohio State sophomore center Aaron Bradshaw, who has been averaging 7.8 points and 4.5 rebounds, did not participate in the game. A statement from the university indicated that he is currently “not participating in team activities.” Bradshaw, who stands at 7-foot-1, transferred to Ohio State this season after a stint at Kentucky.
