In Fort Myers, Florida, Dallion Johnson made a significant impact on the game by scoring 25 points and converting seven 3-pointers, guiding Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) to a resounding 74-54 victory over California State University, Bakersfield, on Friday.
Johnson showcased an impressive shooting performance, completing 9 of 14 attempts from the floor for the Eagles, who improved their record to 1-4. Zavian McLean contributed with 12 points, shooting 4 of 9 overall, including 1 for 5 from beyond the arc, while also making 3 of 4 free throw attempts. Jevin Muniz rounded out the scoring with 10 points, going 3 for 10 from the field, converting 2 of 5 from 3-point distance, and he also secured eight rebounds.
On the other hand, the Roadrunners, now at 3-2, were led by Marvin McGhee, who topped their scoring chart with 15 points. Fidelis Okereke supported the team with an additional 10 points.
