CONWAY, Ark. — In an exciting matchup on Thursday night, Southeast Missouri State triumphed over Central Arkansas with a final score of 77-73 after an intense overtime period. The game saw standout performances from Tedrick Washington Jr. and BJ Ward, each scoring 19 points for the Redhawks. Washington also contributed significantly on the boards, recording eight rebounds. Ward was effective in his shooting, converting 6 of 13 attempts from the field, including 4 of 9 from behind the arc, and also knocking down all three of his free throw attempts. Additionally, Rob Martin and Damarion Walkup each chipped in 11 points to help secure the victory for Southeast Missouri State, improving their record to 2-3.

On the other side of the court, the Bears of Central Arkansas, now 1-4, were led by Elias Cato, who scored 20 points while also grabbing seven rebounds and making two steals. Brayden Fagbemi matched Cato’s scoring output, finishing the evening with 20 points, paired with six rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Layne Taylor made a solid contribution as well, adding 17 points and nine rebounds, along with three steals.
