Western Illinois overcomes Monmouth (Illinois) with a score of 73-46

MACOMB, Ill. – In a commanding performance, Ryan Myers scored 19 points, contributing significantly to Western Illinois’ 73-46 win against Monmouth (Illinois) on Thursday night.

Myers also recorded five rebounds for the Leathernecks, who improved their record to 3-3.

Marko Maletic was another standout, hitting four of his seven attempts from the field, including three out of six from beyond the arc, while going perfect at the free-throw line for a total of 14 points.

Julius Rollins showcased his skills as well, making four of six shots, one from three-point territory, and adding two free throws to bring his scoring to 11 points along with eight rebounds.

On the opposing side, Declan Flynn and Cameron Thomas both finished the game with ten points each, with Flynn also securing two steals for the Fighting Scots.

Jordan Hill contributed six points to Monmouth’s efforts, but it was not enough to change the outcome of the game.
