FRESNO, Calif. — In an exciting matchup on Wednesday night, Fresno State emerged victorious against Prairie View A&M, finishing with a score of 94-83 during the Acrisure Holiday Invitational held on their home court.
Mor Seck contributed significantly to the Bulldogs’ success, scoring 18 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, demonstrating his impact on both ends of the court. Teammate Jalen Weaver also had a strong game, putting up 17 points along with five assists. Elijah Price supported the effort with 16 points, shooting 4 of 12 from the field and making 8 of 11 free throw attempts.
The Panthers struggled despite individual performances, with Jordan Tillmon leading the team with 18 points, nine rebounds, and two steals. Tanahj Pettway helped the scoring with 17 points, while John-Paul Ricks also contributed by scoring 16 points.
Fresno State took charge early in the game, seizing the lead just 25 seconds into the first half and maintaining it throughout. By halftime, the Bulldogs had a comfortable lead of 53-36, with Price making a notable impact by scoring 14 points before the break. Although Prairie View A&M made a stronger showing in the second half, outscoring Fresno State by six points, it wasn’t enough to change the outcome. Seck led his team in the second half, adding 10 points to ensure that Fresno State secured the win.
