JERSEY CITY, N.J. — In an impressive display of skill, Armoni Zeigler scored 30 points, guiding Saint Peter’s to a dominant victory over St. Elizabeth with a final score of 116-51 on Wednesday night.
Zeigler not only shined offensively but also contributed defensively, recording five steals for the Peacocks, who now hold a record of 2-3. Joining him in the scoring effort, Marcus Randolph added 21 points along with five assists. Not to be overlooked, Stephon Roberts showcased his abilities with 15 points, shooting 6 of 12 from the field and converting 3 of 4 free throws, in addition to grabbing 17 rebounds.
On the other side, Tye-Rell Monroe emerged as the top scorer for the Eagles, finishing the game with 10 points. St. Elizabeth’s performance included contributions from Nate Thompson, who tallied nine points and made two steals, while Jonathan Ramos contributed with eight points, six rebounds, and three steals.
It’s important to note that this game was an exhibition match for the Division-III Eagles, who are working on gaining experience and building their team dynamics.
