TULSA, Okla. — On Wednesday evening, Little Rock secured a 71-57 win against Tulsa, with Johnathan Lawson making a significant impact by scoring 23 points.
Lawson also contributed with seven rebounds and five assists, helping the Trojans, who now hold a 3-2 record for the season.
Isaiah Lewis was another key player for Little Rock, scoring 17 points, and impressively making all of his eight free-throw attempts, despite shooting 3 for 12 from the field overall, including 3 for 7 from beyond the arc.
Mwani Wilkinson rounded out the offensive effort, finishing with 16 points after hitting 7 of his 13 shots, including 2 of 3 from three-point territory.
On the other side, the Golden Hurricane, also at 3-2 this season, was led by Tyshawn Archie, who tallied 15 points, along with five assists and two steals.
Braeden Carrington contributed 11 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Keaston Willis added eight points to the team’s total.
Johnathan Lawson started the game with a modest seven points in the first half, as Little Rock entered halftime trailing 25-20.
However, he significantly stepped up in the latter half, scoring 16 points, which was pivotal in securing a 14-point victory for the Trojans.
