BROOKINGS, S.D. — Jaden Jackson led the way for South Dakota State in their commanding 101-76 victory over Southern Miss on Wednesday evening, contributing 19 points to the team’s effort.
In addition to his scoring, Jackson also secured 10 rebounds, showcasing his ability to impact both ends of the court for the Jackrabbits, who now hold a record of 4-1 this season. Oscar Cluff had an impressive performance, notching 16 points while maintaining a perfect shooting record of 7 for 7 from the field, along with 9 rebounds. Kalen Garry played a significant role as well, finishing the game with 14 points through a combination of 3 for 8 shooting from the field, 1 for 5 from three-point range, and he was flawless from the free-throw line, making all 7 attempts.
On the other side, the Golden Eagles, sitting at 2-2, were spearheaded by Neftali Alvarez, who recorded 13 points in the matchup. Christian Watson contributed with 12 points and added two steals to his tally, while Denijay Harris had a solid game with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
