In a thrilling matchup on Wednesday night, Ryan Forrest spearheaded the North Carolina A&T Aggies to an 86-83 victory over Morgan State, pouring in an impressive 33 points.
Forrest showcased his shooting prowess, hitting 9 of his 15 attempts from the field, which included an effective 4 for 6 from beyond the arc. Additionally, he was strong at the free-throw line, converting 11 of 14 attempts. The Aggies, now holding a record of 3-2, also saw notable contributions from Nikolaos Chitikoudis, who not only scored 13 points but also grabbed nine rebounds while recording four steals and five blocks. Landon Glasper struggled a bit with his shooting, finishing the game with 12 points on 5 of 17 shooting, although he managed to secure one of three free-throws.
On the other side, Morgan State Bears, who now have a record of 3-3, were led by Wynston Tabbs. He tallied 16 points along with six rebounds and four assists. The Bears also received solid performances from Ahmarie Simpkins and Kiran Oliver, who added 14 points and 13 points respectively. Oliver complemented his scoring with seven rebounds and two steals.
The Aggies gained a significant advantage by launching a 10-0 scoring surge in the latter half, which propelled them to a 15-point lead at 75-60 with just 7:33 remaining in the game. They managed to maintain their lead and secure the victory over the Bears.
