— Sebastian Thomas put on a stellar performance, scoring 23 points as the Rhode Island Rams defeated the Lafayette Leopards 86-72 on Wednesday evening.
Thomas contributed more than just points, adding nine assists and three steals to his impressive stats for the night, marking a strong contribution to the Rams’ game. The Rams improved their record to 4-0 with this victory.
David Green also played a pivotal role in the win, recording 17 points along with a commendable 14 rebounds. Jaden House further supported the team, finishing the game with 16 points and demonstrating accuracy by hitting 7 of 11 shots, including making one out of four attempts from three-point range.
On the other side, the Leopards, who fell to a 1-4 record, saw Mark Butler lead their scoring efforts with 12 points. Devin Hines matched his score with another 12 points, while Malik Rasul contributed nine points to the team’s total.
The game saw Rhode Island seize the lead early, gaining control just 47 seconds into the first half and maintaining their advantage throughout the match. Thomas was crucial in the first half, scoring 11 points and helping the team to a 40-27 lead as they headed into halftime.
