WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — On Wednesday, Seth Brown and the Oakland Athletics finalized a contract worth $2.7 million for the 2025 season. This agreement allows the outfielder and first baseman to avoid the salary arbitration process.
As the deadline for teams to offer contracts to arbitration-eligible players approaches this Friday, Brown received an increase of $100,000 in his salary. Over the past season, the 32-year-old player spent time with both the A’s and Triple-A Las Vegas, managing to bat .231 with 14 home runs and 44 runs batted in during 124 games played with Oakland.
Currently, the Athletics are operating out of West Sacramento as they plan for at least the next three seasons while working towards the development of a new stadium in Las Vegas.
