NASHVILLE, Tenn.
— President-elect Donald Trump has introduced a new line of guitars, adding to an array of branded merchandise that he has launched during his recent presidential campaign. This collection follows his previous ventures, which included Bibles, sneakers, watches, photo books, and cryptocurrency, all established during his quest for a third term in the White House.

On Wednesday, Trump shared a photo on Truth Social showcasing what he described as a “Limited Edition ‘45’ Guitar.” This electric guitar features an American flag and an eagle design on its body, along with his iconic “Make America Great Again” slogan engraved on the neck. Available options include both acoustic and electric models priced at $1,250 and $1,500, along with special editions like “Presidential” and “God Bless the USA” guitars. For those seeking a more exclusive product, a “Signature Edition” guitar is offered at a steep $10,000, which comes with Trump’s autograph.

However, the specifics regarding the financial arrangement between Trump and the earnings from these guitar sales remain ambiguous. Continuing his longstanding practice of blending politics with business, Trump has promoted a variety of branded products since initiating his bid for the 2024 presidency. This merchandise rollout has occurred following a substantial civil fraud verdict against him totaling $489 million.

Among these products is the “Official Trump Watch Collection,” which includes a model priced at $100,000, identified as connected to CIC Ventures LLC, a company that Trump disclosed he owns in his 2023 financial filings. The marketing for these watches indicates that a “paid license agreement” governs the sales, a strategy Trump has employed since before entering politics to monetize various goods, from water to vodka and steaks.

As of Wednesday, the website GetTrumpGuitars.com did not provide any such disclaimers or the identity of the company responsible for selling the guitars. While the FAQ section includes details on the limited availability of each model and claims they are “the ONLY guitars endorsed by President Donald J. Trump!,” it lacks the licensing information found on some of Trump’s other product sites. The website’s privacy policy notes a suburban Nashville address tied to a couple, who have yet to respond to inquiries regarding their involvement.

Further attempts to contact 16 Creative, the branding agency mentioned at the bottom of the guitar website, as well as Trump’s transition team, were also met with silence.

In addition to the guitars, Trump has promoted other items this election season, including $100 silver coins featuring his likeness, a “God Bless the USA Bible” retailing for $59.99, and Trump-branded sneakers showcased at “Sneaker Con,” which markets itself as “The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth.” Trump has also ventured into the realm of NFTs (non-fungible tokens), previously reporting earnings of between $100,000 and $1 million from a collection of digital trading cards that portrayed him in whimsical styles, such as a cowboy and a superhero.
