FORT WORTH, Texas — In an impressive display of teamwork and skill, Trazarien White led TCU with 14 points, while David Punch contributed with 10 points, alongside seven rebounds and five blocks, leading the Horned Frogs to a commanding 71-48 victory over Alcorn State on Tuesday evening.

Every player from TCU’s roster who participated in the game managed to score a minimum of three points. The team exhibited sharp shooting, with White opening the scoring with a three-pointer, followed by two more from Brendan Wenzel. Frankie Collins then capped a 17-5 run with two layups, propelling TCU to a significant 15-point lead with 5:43 remaining in the first half. By halftime, TCU had established a 39-22 advantage, maintaining a double-digit lead for the remainder of the contest.

The Horned Frogs displayed an efficient shooting performance, hitting 14 of 28 from the field and making 7 of 14 attempts from beyond the arc. In stark contrast, Alcorn State struggled offensively, managing only 29% shooting during the first half. The Braves, who ended last season on a nine-game winning streak, faced a disappointing start, having suffered various setbacks this year.

Leading the scoring for the Braves, Keionte Cornelius connected on 3 of 5 from three-point territory, finishing with 13 points total. Despite the loss, Alcorn State looks to bounce back as they continue to navigate through the challenges of the current season.
