Providence, R.I. — The Providence Friars showcased a strong performance on Tuesday night, defeating Delaware State with a score of 78-48, bolstered by Oswin Erhunmwunse’s impactful contribution off the bench where he netted 13 points.

Erhunmwunse also grabbed six rebounds, playing a vital role in the Friars’ game. Corey Floyd Jr. was another standout, contributing 12 points on 5 of 8 shooting, which included a couple of successful three-point attempts, along with six rebounds. Bensley Joseph also made his mark with 11 points after hitting 4 of 7 shots, including 2 for 4 from long range, complemented by an impressive seven assists.

For the Hornets, Kaseem Watson was the top performer, finishing with 18 points and nine rebounds. Robert Smith also contributed to the scoreboard, adding 10 points to the team’s tally.

Providence held a comfortable 36-23 lead at halftime, with Floyd scoring eight points in the first half. The Friars broke the game open with a significant 11-0 run early in the second half, pushing their advantage to 20 points.
