These challenges prompted the club to sign experienced forward Mario Balotelli recently, raising questions about how Vieira’s arrival might impact Balotelli’s role within the squad.

Interestingly, Vieira and Balotelli share a history as past teammates at both Inter Milan and Manchester City. Their relationship soured during Vieira’s tenure as coach at Nice, which ultimately led to Balotelli’s transfer to Marseille.
