Pierre was effective from the field, making 11 of 19 attempts, which included 2 out of 4 from beyond the arc, and also converting 7 of 8 free throws.
In addition to Pierre’s standout performance, Koree Cotton contributed 13 points, shooting 5 of 8 overall and adding a three-pointer to his stats, while also securing six rebounds.
Mason Nicholson chipped in with eight points, completing 4 of 6 shots from the floor.
For Coastal Carolina, Noah Amenhauser and Denzel Hines both recorded 11 points along with eight rebounds, sharing the load for the Chanticleers, who now hold a record of 1-3.
Joshua Meo also made his mark on the scoreboard, contributing 10 points to his team’s effort.
Jacksonville State seized the lead with just over 12 minutes left in the first half and maintained it throughout the game.
Pierre was particularly impactful in the first half, leading the team with 18 points and helping to establish a strong 38-21 lead by halftime.
In the second half, Jacksonville State further solidified their dominance, extending the margin to 64-37 after a 10-3 scoring surge.
Pierre continued to shine, scoring 13 additional points in the second half, guiding his squad to a convincing victory.
