RENO, Nev. — Tre Coleman was a standout scorer for Nevada, contributing 21 points to the team’s impressive 85-59 victory over Santa Clara on Saturday.
Coleman displayed remarkable shooting accuracy, hitting 6 of 7 field goal attempts, including a perfect 3 for 3 from beyond the arc. He also made 6 of 9 attempts from the free-throw line, helping the Wolf Pack remain undefeated with a 4-0 record this season.
Nick Davidson was another key player for Nevada, scoring 18 points with 5 successful shots out of 7 and 6 for 10 at the charity stripe, in addition to collecting eight rebounds. Brandon Love also performed well, finishing the game flawless from the field by hitting all 5 of his attempts and scoring a total of 15 points after going 5 for 7 from the free-throw line.
On the other side, the Broncos struggled, with Elijah Mahi leading the scoring with 22 points and two steals. Teammates Christoph Tilly and Kosy Akametu each contributed seven points to Santa Clara’s efforts in the game.
The Wolf Pack took control early, establishing a lead just 47 seconds into the game and never relinquishing it. Davidson was particularly effective in the first half, scoring 12 points and helping the team build a significant 47-26 lead by halftime.
In the second half, Nevada continued to dominate, increasing their lead to as much as 63-34 during an impressive 9-0 scoring run. Coleman added another 11 points to his tally in the second half as Nevada cruised to a decisive victory.
Overall, the game showcased Nevada’s robust offensive capabilities, setting a strong tone for the remainder of their season.
